I’d argue it’s the opposite. People will probably say it’s good no matter what. Just look at the reception of Scarlet and Violet. People said the game was good despite a ton of issues those games had.

To be fair, Pokemon fans aren’t the same as Zelda fans, but it can become a pattern.

Yeah, pokemon fans will defend a game no matter how broken it is. When it comes to Zelda fans, its different. There used to be a cycle where any new installment was hated, then later seen as acceptable, then after a couple installments it would become adored, then finally become considered overrated. Breath of the Wild broke this cycle due to the massive initial adoration.

To be fair, the only ones I’ve played from Ubisoft are Far Cry games. But I keep hearing that if you’ve played any Ubisoft game, you’ve basically played them all.
