For example, my first playthrough of Kanto was in Fire Red. My team was Venusaur, Arcanine, Pidgeot, Kingler, Hitmonlee, and Nidoking.

Mine was fire red aswell, where I had:
Venusaur, gengar, beedrill, raichu, lapras and a arcanine

Type diverse, over all strong pokemon, has my boi arcanine, I’d say that’s a solid 7/10 team. What holds it back for me is the beedrill, nothing against the pokemon it just isnt very strong.

My first international console was a Japanese GBA. The first Game I played on it as well as the first Gen 1 game in general I played was Pokemon Green. My team was: Zapdos, Golbat, Mew (Glitched in), Mewtwo, Golduck, and Venusaur.

Three legends, a starter, a duck, and a bat. Two flying types, two poison types, and two psychics, although in gen 1 having multiple psychic types isnt a bad thing. Mostly pokemon I personally like, I’d say a solid 6/10.

My team for that game is very random.
