This idea was borrowed from "The Last Of Us" | Mutated Ophiocordyceps; Fungus; consumes whatever organism it is infecting; Small or microscopic; Infects any organisms it can get a hold of through spores; The Mutated Ophiocordyceps infects organisms through its spores and lives off of them, turning said organism into "Zombies" which are hostile. Note that the organism is aware of what is happening, but cannot do anything because the fungus is controlling it
