i'm from the South and moved to Missouri and for the past five years everyone we've met from Missouri has been surprised by our politeness, when all we do is say thing we have been taught to say since childhood

I find this funny since I'm from northern Kentucky and I moved south and most people find me to be an @ss but I just say it like I see it

i think its down to the differences in how people from each state are raised and the culture of that state

it interesting how states that aren't even that far away can have almost completely different cultures

Humans like to be the same yet so different at the same time

like my home state of Florida, ranches, then Disney, then Miami, etc

outskirts of Louisville is hoods and etc while the main city is well still bad but at least it looks better

do you have a carton of Florida's natural orange juice? if so look where it was made. that is fifteen minutes away from where i lived in FL

i lived right next to an orange grove. and there are several roads named after my family, and my great grandfather was kinda a county celebrity that everyone knew. and i have met and talked to Grady Judd, the "eat a moonpie, drink a 7up, stop killing people" guy.
