We did the concentration camp thing. Yup. Then we destroyed hospitals, shelters, women and children.

I don’t think what we did is comparable to the concentration camps of the Germans

It's absolutely comparable.
Comparable - being able to compare.

Germany had concentration camps for (primarily) Jews. Which, started out as land appropriation (amongst other things). Which, as most of us know, later developed to much more inhumane methods of handling their citizens.

USA, after Pearl Harbor, implemented Order 66, in this we created concentration camps for Japanese Americans on the basis of Japanese Ancestry - not nationality - per the text listed above. It was a racist order that didn't take into consideration other races who lived in Japan before that time. Just the Japanese people.

Kinda like Trump's Muslim Travel Ban.

Not even close to it at all, yea we shouldn’t have done it but compare it to the concentration camps is disgusting 6 million Jewish where killed in those camps whereas 1,600 died in the interments camps not killed died. The fact that your comparing concentration camps to the Japanese internment camps is utterly absurd and laughable

What's laughable is saying there's no comparison.

There most certainly is. The instances don't have to be identical, that's the beauty of comparisons. Honest comparisons require a mindset that isn't concluded to binary cognition, but instead one of analogue.

wtf do you mean that it was comparable the Nazis were absolutely brutal with their takticks, there was gas chambers in the concentration camps, inmates of the camps were tested on by the angel of death, look up what he did and see if you can find any american officer who did anything remotely like it. The U.S government was racist and was totally in the wrong for wrongfully imprisoning Japanese, however they were nothing like the Germans. Also i found nothing about the U.S executing Japanese for no reason like the Germans. Also comparing 6 million brutal deaths of Jewish in the terrible conditions of the concentration camps to the relatively stable interment camps, is disrespectful to the millions of Jewish that suffered and died in those camps.

Meaning, there are commonalities(similarities) that you can find between them - that doesn't mean they're the same thing.

Why do you need me to answer that? Can't you find it for yourself? Start with listening to George Takei.

Addendum: the difference being we didn't start executing them... Or did we? *goes to google to look up Portland's History*

No, we didn't. Portland was the routing destination to other camps though.
