Also, yeah. They're right. As someone who enjoys anime, I do agree that there are a lot of things about the community and a few animes that are bad. He really isn't wrong.
It actually isn't hard to understand my bro. He's just saying that he doesn't like anime because the fandoms, especially MHA, are really toxic. He doesn't like the art style. There are a lot of idiots who have idiot opinions that like anime. He hates hentai. He hates Space Battleship Yamato and Angel Cop because of the pro-nazi themes. He's also of Filipino descent and hearing of the history of Japan's colonization of Philippines and all the terrible things the Japanese have done during WW2 could have influenced him.
However, I really think you should respect his opinions. I'm not saying that you're being disrespectful. I just think that it's very frequent for many people here to understand that other people have different tastes. He hasn't really done any harm towards this stream or to you.
