Doctors laughing | WE KNOW BUT YOU DON’T THAT’S THE POINT | image tagged in doctors laughing | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I think it’s to check for anything from changing symptoms, to your awareness and memory but mainly because it’s the procedure.

Ok- they need to make sure you get all the correct tests done, and match the vials and the labelling is important too. You don’t want to be misdiagnosed in any way. Some treatments and meds are dangerous if not necessary. It sucks even more when they get it wrong and have to redraw blood. Sort of measure twice, cut once.

Nope. I have a little experience as a heart transplant patient. I’ve had bloods taken multiple time every day.
The best vampires are the phlebotomists. They can do 150 sticks in a single shift. Junior Drs are the worst. I hated overnight draws in hospital because the Drs on rounds did it. The least experienced at it.

Thank you.
Donate Life. I’m forever grateful.
If you want to register to donate, your country will have a system in place. In almost every country, it’s “opt in” so you need to register.
But if you do decide to register you need to discuss your wishes with your family. It makes it much easier for your loved ones to agree if the time comes (it’s pretty uncommon). If your loved ones know your wishes, it’s just their decision to respect your wishes. Where I am, even if someone is registered the hospitals won’t take donations from registered donors without family consent. Why add to a time of stress?

I know one kid who had a double lung transplant within his final 24 hours. He went from potential donor to recipient in a day. Miraculous stuff.

He’s doing well considering. At 9 years he was spending his last night in the MH ward at the kids hospital until they got “the call”. He was having trouble dealing wit( end of life.
I was there too but unexpectedly. My first coma world was really scary. 2nd coma for transplant was a breeze in comparison. I refused all pain meds after 4 days (the first coma they thought I got hooked on propofol and morphines, so I didn’t want to use any more than absolutely necessary. I just gritted my teeth).
