Yes, I got a pack of 3 different filters, the main ones that are used in photography. A CPL filter (circular polarizer) which helps reduce the glare from reflected surfaces and enhance colors of subjects. An ND filter (Neutral Density filter) an ND filter acts like sunglasses would to your eyes, it blocks light coming into the lens like sunglasses blocks light coming into your eyes. And a UV filter is a lens filter that attaches to the front of a camera lens and reduces the amount of ultraviolet light that passes into a camera, but usually most photographers use it not for that, but to protect their lens.
The main purpose of a lens hood is to shade the front of your lens, to keep light from falling across the lens and causing unwanted flairs and a washed out, low contrast look.
