Well France did try to colonise Australia, they were very close. According to the Australian ABC, in the early months of 1788, first the British, then the French, encroached on the land of the Dharawal and Eora people, the traditional Indigenous owners in the Sydney area.

I was surprised that the French were so close to colonising Australia, but I knew Spain weren't quite interested in Australia.

But yes, we do learn new things everyday, but the thing is that conspiracy theorists make a theory, then a person likely a leftist would debunk their theory.
