Sure, your original self is still out there in the real world, being distracted by anything dumb, and will eventually get smashed or old or sick and die. The digital copy of you will live forever in cyberspace. A tiny map of your DNA as well in case you ever need to manifest outside of cyberspace aka the “real world”. They can grow you a new body and respawn you anywhere you might be useful.

Yeah, there are a lot of people who have a large on line presence but nobody will miss them back on earth. Also they can target entire social networks and make entire groups of people disappear weather they are in a tight nit community or peppered into the general population with other groups.
