I had a rather liberal (but awesome) writing teacher who said (quite seriously) he'd gladly pay $500 to slug Tucker Carlson on live national TV.

While I can't say I condone violence, I did laugh at that.

Nobody is perfect, and I've found that the best way to keep people away and distant is to be socially rigid and inflexibly arrogant. Hence, I try to avoid both being like that and expecting others to be noble.

But also it's the internet. We're all our own brand of moronic.
