I mean both sides are in the wrong

Being completely honest, both act nearly the same. Both species have a weird sense of superiority over other dragons, both will declare war in each other for anything, and both planned to take advantage of dragons for the acquisition of territory. The difference is the nightwings lived on a volcanic island with dwindling food supply that was about to erupt, the other lived in what most dragons would call an icy wasteland. The nightwings felt forced to take a new territory, thought the rainforest was the best option, and decided they also wanted to enslave the rainwings, or at least force them out. (I think the enslaving part was mostly Darkstalker). Either way, both wanted to completely screw over other dragons for their own benefit. The nightwings had the option of negotiating with the rainwings for part of their territory, which the rainwings would have probably said yes, but their sense of superiority over other dragons keeps them from doing that. The Icewings felt compelled to war with the other territories because Blaze offered territory and they felt they could push her around. Both are bad in their own ways, but the difference is that Icewings would have likely got dragged into the war at some point like the rainwings did. The nightwings were waiting for the best candidate to help them invade another territory.

After reading that entire essay, i just realized something: Practically every major player in WoF “politics” has a very nationalist agenda (beside Glory, and I guess Coral) Thanks for opening my eyes pal.

With this investigation, we can conclude that both sides are in the wrong, hate each other, and justify their actions based on what has happened to them. It falls into a grey area as it’s bad but they also didn’t really have many choices. It was either take a side or get dragged in later. The Icewings chose to pick a side since they didn’t really fear any of the other queens. What would they do? The nightwings had the problem of dwindling food supplies and the volcano about to incinerate them all, so the nightwings had an issue of survival. With the nightwings being stuck between a rock and a hard place and the Icewings willing to just pick a side instead of ending up with a queen they didn’t like, it’s very hard to determine how evil they actually are. They’ve made bad choices and hate each other, but that doesn’t necessarily make Icewings or Nightwings evil.

Get this man a PHD in political science, and if he already has one, get him another!!!
