Yes... "The war to end all wars" always struck me as surprisingly naive: like we didn't have the potential to top that with a new world record of international stupid?
Basically at the time, it was the biggest war ever, and they never wanted to repeat something of that scale again. Then Hitler started WWII and the rest is history... literally
