I am not one of those drooling gender-affirming sycophants that you encounter everywhere on the internet.

Seek strength in whatever God you worship, and ask yourself this simple question:
“Is it the people, or the fur?”
Since being a furry is technically a s3xual fetish, then the latter is the more likely option.

And, lastly, it is okay to have friends of the same gender. If that defined “non-binary”, then we could extend that definition to every human being on this planet.
