I'm in the process of making one, so I'll provide a list of recommended materials:
• A simple vest
• Scissors or an X-Acto knife
• Fabric markers in 2 colors
• A measuring tool (I used a cutting mat)
• A basic sewing kit
• A long piece of ribbon
