i think it’s that when you grow up with heavily restricted freedom and suddenly get like 700000 times more freedom that you’re not used to having you take more advantage of that newfound freedom and go to 10x the extreme of a normal kid bc you don’t know how long it’ll last and you didn’t get the opportunity to learn self control around these freedoms
like i used to be banned from even drinking lemonade but as soon as i was allowed to have coke i could not stop drinking it
