Essentially 308 is 7.5x55 M Swiss. I personally want to get a Swiss k31 rifle and just rechamber it to 308 for ammo availability

The only difference between the Swiss and the 308 from what I understand is like 1 mm on length and burden primers versus Boxer primers however you can get 7.5 x55 M Swiss boxer brass. And Hornady has an excellent selection of 308 bullets for hand loading I personally want to downgrade from the standard 170 grain round to 110 and then have a magnum load behind it
