I do. I also know that the Republicans fought the South. Yet today, Republicans are repeating the quote from the KKK "America First." and also sporting the confederate battle standard and repeating "The South Will Rise Again."

Point being, times change, and so do political ideologies within parties.

"you guys" implies that "they" did. Democrats today did not create the KKK. In fact, you'll find that when the KKK was founded, the Democrats were largely conservative whereas Republicans were largely progressive at that time. So while you are correct, you're missing a lot of contextual info. What you're using is just some impotent talking point that some conservative dropout who flunked his history and poli sci classes used to smear his political opponents.
