Actually, the 5 year survival rate with early detection is around 90%. I survived Cardiogenic shock (mortality rate 76-91% in a fully equipped heart n lung ICU). So it doesn’t worry me. I’ve accepted my mortality, but hope to live another 3-8 years now.

If that’s true then that’s really sad. This is a legitimate fear I have. I try to laugh at what I’m afraid of. I’ll say a prayer for you.🙏

Sadly, it’s all true. Melanoma is just not scary to me. I had a heart transplant 15 months after I got sick. The anti rejection meds make us prone to cancer (and cancer treatments can lead to heart failure too). I had strokes on mechanical heart, infections and I have ptsd from the whole experience. I’m jus5 trying to live m6 best life, stay as healthy as I can, and live a life to honour my hero heart donor.
