Nancy Pelosi governed the House for two years with the exact same majority that Republicans have today. Pelosi not only easily won her vote for Speaker, she passed a tremendous amount of important legislation. It was the most productive House in decades. Whether you like her or not, she was perhaps the most skilled legislator since LBJ. McCarthy is a pygmy.
