Hey uh dude, I’ve been in msmg for a real long while now. I read the comments and I would like to say that msmg isn’t a fire. It’ll never be a fire. Fires die down quicker than msmg ever will. It won’t work. They’ll twist it to make you look like the villain.

Also I actually know a bit about fighting fire with fire. Firefighters use fire to burn down the things around them so that the main fire can’t burn anymore so that it’s trapped. Msmg cannot be contained like that. It’s an entire ecosystem. The army is unnecessary and will collapse on itself. If you do decide to retaliate against msmg, I will be sure to inform them some of the stream wasn’t involved. As I’ve stated earlier, I’m an active member there. Think more openly before you continue.

It’s not “Ignoring the problem,” it’s being the bigger person by following ToS and not being toxic.

If raiding streams and retaliation would help, I would be all for it. If arguments online could change someone’s mind I would be arguing with everyone constantly. If a difference could be made at the expense of drama, I would cause drama.

The problem is it doesn’t. The trolls from MSMG aren’t interested in anything people have to say they just want conflict. These things only hurt the LGBTQ stream, and that is why I am against them. I don’t think homophobia or transphobia should be ignored either. I think real differences can be made, just in real life. You can start a club at your school if there isn’t one already, if there is one you can join it. You can campaign for gender neutral bathrooms and education about LGBTQ. You can learn about LGBTQ issues in your area and write letters to lawmakers to get them to vote on your side.

There is so much you can do to really help the LGBTQ community, but starting flame wars and drama on an obscure meme site, is not one of them.

Right now I just can’t see any benefits to raids, and nobody I have talked to has given any, even when I ask for them. I have only gotten ignored.

We are here to raid streams that discriminate or harass others. NOT streams we dislike for personal reasons.

According to comments made by SurlyKong69, raids targeting streams that abuse ToS are not against ToS. This is because flagging comments and posts that abuse ToS is okay. Raids such as the last one on us is a direct violation and can result in serious consequences.

A couple years ago I got this innovation app where there were tutorials and ideas for making cool things with household materials, like marble racetracks. Kids could post what they made there, and it was one of my first introductions to a public space.
I did not behave well there, I told people that they were ugly and that their creations sucked. I acted absolutely terribly. The moderation team of the app took notice, and since it was a kids app, my mom found out. She gave me a reality check, made me realize there were real kids on the other side of that screen just like me. I went and apologized to everyone.
I felt horrible, I still feel horrible, what I did was horrible. But I did learn from it, and I have been conscious about how I act in online spaces, as well as aware of a trolls mindset, ever since.
I’m not a terrible person because I made a big mistake, and neither are you.

Learn from your mistake, recognize it as a mistake, and move to make yourself a better person because of it. Don’t let one mistake dictate your entire life
