True, that's why you follow independent Telegram channels (If you can stomach war footage) instead of state media.
In reality Russia is getting drone striked to pieces and losing tanks and Russian ground forces are tearing Ukrainian forces to shreds on the battlefield. Both sides are losing APC's and getting trapped by drones in the trenches.
I saw a video from Bakhmut a while back (Don't know when it was filmed) where Russian troops run up on Ukrainian soldiers and deck them really f**king hard and start screaming in their faces and ragdolling them while the Ukrainian soldiers started screaming and crying. There were bodies of Ukrainian servicemen everywhere in the background of the video and the Russian squad had about 6-8 guys in the video. That's the most tame footage I've seen of Bakhmut yet if you don't include Ukrainian gopro footage of shelling where nobody gets hurt but everyone shits themselves.
Ukrainians aren't holding up too well and the Russian's fighting are mostly Wagner PMC's according to Ukrainian Telegram channels.
It's so f**king brutal and unnecessary.
