Might the evidence take us to some uncomfortable truths? Might the evidence lead us on to question assumptions that's we've accepted all our lives? Might we have to change some of our fundamental beliefs? Might we have to question some fundamental authorities that we believed we could rely on, that we believed had our best interests at heart?
