its metric metres actually

Scientists use the metric system because its more accurate and reliable than imperial, and so do British people.

Knifeboi is a British scientist

and imperial sucks anyway, they just took random stuff and called it a measurement system with incredibly varying differences between each unit

*foreigners immediately get overwhelmed with the literal rest of the world (only 3 countries still use the imperial system)*

and anyway the metric system is super easy to learn

It only has 3 units: metres (for length)

litres (for volume: the amount of 3d space in a container)

and grams (for mass {weight})

Then you multiply or divide them by ten and add prefixes to make them higher or lower. (KILOmetres, MILLIgrams, CENTIletres.)
