RPK is still like 11 pounds loaded. Give me an Ak-102 or an M4. I like an ultra light rifle with a lightweight cartridge. You can shoot straighter and carry more mags.

really depends on caliber. like 7.62. its reliable. similar to 5.45. though the 7 has little more kick

7.62 x 39r is great and has little recoil.
But 556 or 5.45 have no "felt" recoil out of lightweight guns so you can shoot triple taps and rapid fires without worrying about muzzle rise.
