Oh, excellent point! Yes, let's take that example. I'm fully in agreement. If we put in as much funding, investment, and specialist expertise into the nation building we did in Germany and Japan after the war, into all the other nations we have destroyed, we very likely COULD replicate the economic miracles they had.
