monsters cant bleed, so sans might be a skeleton and not a monster, but papyrus is a skeleton AND a monster. People argue its ketchup, but why would he have ketchup coming out of his mouth when he is slashed in the stomach?

Actually, it's probably from the bone marrow, which is where blood is made.
