Flower: there's no getting passed him, just hide until he leaves

~A few hours later~

Hunter:*leaves*

*the boys hold their breaths, Liam thinking of blackness and Nick shielding his mind*
Nick: ok Rose- can I call you Rose?

Rose: sure

Nick: so, what next? Just, go in?

Rose: yes but go deeper in this time

*the boys nod as the enter the cave again. This time, they go further and further into the cave until they can’t see the opening anymore*

Rose -the flower-:*laughs*

Nick: where else can we go? We can’t leave her here

Rose: there's a village not far from here, we can go there while we wait for her to wake up

Nick: thanks Rose *Liam holds Rose as Nick Carrie’s the sleeping girl out of the cave*

*the leave the cave an head off for the town*

Nick: so, tell me about you. How’d you become a talking flower?

Rose: it's not that difficult I was just a regular rose then I was enchanted no I'm blu and can talk

-they hear distant footsteps-

*Liam quickly places the seal down and grabs the Rose*
Liam: ok, we’ve got the flower, now what?

Liam: How about running? Nick no! *Nick draws out his staff, flames flickering at the end* ugh! You’re impossible, you know that! *Liam takes out his staff. A trail of green sparks follow*

-you see this guy-

Nick: Who are you?

???: None of your business, what are you doing here

Nick: we just came for shelter, we don’t want to fight you

???: Well sorry but you can't stay here

Liam: that’s ok! I’m sure there’s another cave somewhere around here! *grabs Nick and pulls him out as both boys start running away, Liam clutching the rose tightly. It starts to rain, but Nick dries the path in front of them with fire. The boys climb into a tree that has a hollow hole big enough for three children*

Hunter: what is your purpose here, truly

Nick: I simply wish to test the truth of a tale of my people
Liam: and I'm with him so he doesn't die

Hunter: what is the tale

Nick: a lost princess. I heard some people in town talking about some kind of legend that sounded oddly familiar. I thought about it and it matched perfectly with a story of my people and decided to investigate this coincidence

Hunter: hmm ok

Liam: so…what’s so special about the flower?

Hunter: that? Oh it's fake

*Liam’s jaw drops slightly. Nick stays neutral*
Liam: Nick, can I talk to you for a second? *he pulls Nick away before whispering* a fake flower?! We just risked our lives for a fake flower?!
Nick: I don’t think it’s actually fake, but idk for sure

Hunter: ...

Liam: um, Mr. Hunter, sir, why would you put a magic barrier around a fake flower?

Hunter: because i said no

Liam POV: Nicholas Alexander Treadway, what the hell are you doing!?

Hunter: *stares into nicks eyes, looking very focused* leave

Nick: the Ira Enid people can resist mind manipulation

-the flower starts glowing-
Hunter: how did that not work

Nick: I knew it! Come on!
*the boys run faster and faster, jumping over fallen trees and rocks with amazing speed*

-i still suggest going back to the cave and traveling deeper-

*Nick and Liam skid to a stop*
Liam: you heard that, right?
Nick: yeah, but it couldn’t be that…

Both: give us advice?
*silence*
Liam: well, you heard the magic glowing flower
Nick: oh god, we’re sooooooo dead

*the two pages leave their room and quietly sneak out of the castle. Nick boosted Liam up the wall, jumping up himself*

*the boys successfully make it out of the castle and set off into the forest*

-after days of travel they find a suspicious cave-

Nick and Liam: cave
*they go inside, switching on their tourches*

-inside on a table is a little blue rose-

Liam: a rose?

Nick: be quiet, I’m going to try something *he goes over and gently taps the rose*
