listen, if you're gonna tell me that eventually all my hate FOR furries is gonna turn me INTO a furry, then I'm just gonna come right out and say you either
a) hit your head REALLY hard when you were a toddler,
b) got rocks in your head,
c) just escaped the insane asylum

Both. I'm very literal, so I don't exactly know what you wanted me to answer. But technically both are correct.

When the dictionary gives you multiple definitions, it means that the word can have both definitions. In this specific case, we are using the word furry to refer to the people who dress up as animals and draw animal-humanoid characters, the first noun definition. We hate them and their fandom, but we aren't referring to the adjective or actual animals.

Just know that most of the time when people say furry (as a noun), they don't regularly mean an actual animal, they mean the fandom. When they use it as an adjective, they are just describing something as covered in fur (In almost every case of the English language, there is a noun that is mentioned prior to their description of it).
