Doing what democrats do best

Oregon hasn't executed anyone since 1997. The death penalty is not popular there.

Well the history of the death penalty is one that is quiet interesting in Oregon. For one to receive the death penalty, there needs to be an unanimous vote by the jury, therefore everyone on the jury must vote for it, and if even one jurior desents, the defendant automatically receives a life sentence.

As with everything else on the lawless ‘Left Coast” it seems like the people speak or vote for A and the dems use the court system to usurp the will of the people.

As with everything else, democrats, always go against the will of We The People.

Courts commute sentences given by juries all the time. That's not usurping their will or in any way controversial, that's just how courts work.

Oregon's people just aren't that bloodthirsty. As can be shown by the fact that nobody's actually been executed there in twenty five years, and even then it was only because that particular defendant just gave up on their appeals process. That's not will of the people, that's will of literally one guy!
