No... i dont own one but i play on a server that is for both bedrock and java players. ip is play.minecity.net but just a warning before you join... The server is small and is kinda dead but i still play because i dont want to play on other servers... Mainly because my absolute favorite server shut down a long time ago... Minecity is the reboot... I sometimes wonder why i can't access all of my builds because i would love to see my city again.. anyways if you join, I may be able to help you so you get some free stuff ig...

I meant that a bedrock server or Java server would be fine. Either is good

You cant play both bedrock and java on there... I have played on bedrock but lost access to the accoutn and now play on java

i kind of want to start a school wide smp but don't want to pay monthly, any ideas as to what I can use or do to lower the cost of a server?.

There is a site called Aternos where you can host free servers. These servers are pretty decent and can also run mods and plugins. Idk if there is a player cap, but my server caps at 20 ppl.
