Wow man, I'm trying to be reasonable here. Yes, I voted for Trump, but believe me I did NOT vote for a violent swarming of the Capitol that was an absolute disgrace to this country. I'm done with Trump. Conservative I am, but his 'divide to conquer' strategy is NOT what the country needs and I know the GOP won't survive if it sticks with him.
As far as the rest, let me clarify; anyone who carried a weapon where they weren't allowed to, or struck an officer, or otherwise directly and immediately created a clear and present threat (E.G that one woman who got shot for sticking her face in a hole in the chamber of Congress, regrettably, played a stupid game and won a stupid prize.) should be prosecuted to the reasonable extent of the law. Where I draw the line is the idiotic "Let's arrest anyone who breathed on Congress" or "Let's arrest every politician who expressed vehement and even inappropriate disapproval with losing the most contentious election in decades because they're being crybabies." rhetoric.
I'm exceedingly careful with how I support suppressing freedom of speech and assembly because I know that, as satisfying as it is to slap those I perceive as being unreasonable and idiotic, any support I give automatically gives legitimacy to those who would like to apply similar measures to 'my side'.
That help? I didn't come back here to troll you guys or anything, I just missed the forum. The last thing I want to do is make a bunch of e-enemies needlessly.
