I play both and you are right the credits in Terraria say Markus "Notch" Persson because the game was actually inspired by Minecraft to say that they didn't just copy off of Minecraft.

Glad to know someone else also understands that!! I hate when my friends claim that terraria is rip off minecraft and vice versa.
