My family use the same tree each year (a living tree not a fake one) and its medium sized, bedraggled, and got ravaged by an army of sheep a few years ago (true story)

But the one advantage is that we put chocolate coins among the branches and basically use the tree as an advent calendar

Ah nice! I bought a Christmas tree for my apartment this year but it was quite small. I usually have a bigger one but I got a fireplace which I’ll be using where I normally put the tree. I had to put it in a smaller spot this year.
