There isn't even any reason to it. Boys can carry a 92" TV in their pockets and girls can't even put their whole hand in the ones they do have, which isn't many. I assume purses are supposed to compensate but a) not every girl carries a purse and b) are you supposed to stick your hands in that when it gets cold? I mean, gloves are a thing, but just give girls pockets. It's not hard! It's so much easier than toting around gloves and a purse constantly.
