Redi has been Johnny's idol ever since Redi became famous for expanding the stickmen empire. In the spherical galaxy (a small elliptical dwarf galaxy of Redi's home galaxy) is where Johnny grew up and lives in. He works at SphereLabs in the observatory room, and one day he captured Beldum in his telescope. Johnny knew only one man that could help him with this, and it was Redi. Nervous, Johnny picks up the phone and calls Redi's staff. Redi answers. "Hello?" in panic he tells Redi what he saw at the observatory, and he teleported there. After this the 2 knew that they had to go to war with Beldum. So Redi gave Johnny a copy of his staff. Johnny has only had his staff for about 8 years so he hasn't absorbed the powers of the staff yet.
