Ah. Tbh, if I'm making a profile picture. I try to make them face forward. I know my biggest flaws for eyes is that my characters always look dead inside.
The the ones that are, I guess it's a good thing but drawing their eyes to have so much energy, idk how to do that.

have you tried adding the little white accents to them? they’re usually show in a bubble shape, but can be any shape to fit the character! they give them that extra bit of alive sparkle!
