GIFs work differently, however. While an image's size is based on aspect ratio, a GIF's size is based on pure values. This means that if you put 1x1 resolution, it won't be resized to 1:1 aspect, instead, it will be 1 pixel wide and 1 pixel tall. This means that a GIF can be a mere pixel.
