Cascade: yes I’m sure, also, the only reason I’m walking and not flying is so you can keep up.

Seaweed- what the?

???: look, I’m not sure this is a good idea, it’s late at night and your queen is probably sleeping right now. Furthermore, they tend to have actual business to attend to, like making laws, taxes, and generally keeping control of their kingdom.

Cascade: I’m sure Glory would still help you, she’s a good queen.

???: I’m not saying she isn’t, but I’m not sure if Glory can actually help me. I’ll take any help I can get, but I don’t think my family is here.. I would have recognized this forest. I’m sure Glory is good at what she does, but I’m not sure this is something that a queen tends to help with. She’ll have more important issues.

Cascade: she was looking for her family once, just like you are now. You were just telling me you haven’t been around other dragons before and this was the best idea I thought of to help you.

???: you and your friends were the first.

*they approach the village and fly up to one of the platforms, the unknown dragon seems worried, even scared*

Seaweed- so the dragonet is lost...poor thing. *Follows them*

*the dragons were walking across the bridge when one of them stops for a second.. you hear something approaching fast*

???: GET BACK. *she pushed Cascade forward and dived backward, both narrowly avoided getting hit by some mass of metal. which turned around a flew back to land on the bridge in between them, facing the unknown dragon. It was larger than Cascade, about the size of an adult dragon, it also looked like a dragon*

Cascade: Stardust?! What is this?

Stardust: it’s hostile, run! I’ll explain later!

Cascade: what? What about you?!

Stardust: I’m about to do something very stupid.

*she grabbed something from her wrist and ignited it, it took the shape of a sword large enough for Stardust to wield*

Cascade: I won’t leave you behind!

Stardust: relax, last time I was caught off guard, this time will be different.

Cascade: what in pyhrria.. *she stands up*

*the metal dragon had ignited another sword, which was then moved so it could be gripped by the metal dragon’s claw*

Stardust: Cascade, just go I’ll handle this.

*both dragons stand in upright positions, swords out in front of them, though Stardust takes a more defensive stance*

Stardust: armor appears to be a mix of chromium and steel, power source is unknown but massive and towards the center of the body. Armor appears to be 4 inches thick with no extra shielding.. not the most thought out combat machine. *any expression of fear was lost, she looked more determined now*

Cascade: … *she jumps to a higher platform*

*the metal dragon starts talking but not in a language you can understand*

Sentinel: you can come quietly, or I can dismember you here, your choice. Either way, I will bring you or your remains to our lord. You will join us and our efforts.

Stardust: *in human* how about you make me and we’ll see what happens.

*after a brief moment, the metal dragon attacks, Stardust deflects the blow and pushes it back, despite the fact of the metal dragon being taller and nearly twice the weight of a normal adult dragon, Stardust retaliates with a flurry of slashes, all blocked. They push each other back and forth across the bridge until they’re locked back in the middle, Stardust blocking a blow from above, the metal dragon speaks again, but this time in dragon*

Sentinel: *in robotic voice* I do not have time for you’re defiance, and neither does our lord!

Stardust: send them my regards when I turn you into scrap metal. *they continue to fight*

Seaweed- Oh no... I'm glad I learned how to throw a spear. *Throws a spear directly at the metal creature*

*it just bounces off the armor, the two continue their deadly little dance, Cascade watches worrying what she could do, her venom won’t affect the armor because it’s made out of metal, finally the metal dragon lands a hit on Stardust’s left leg, she stumbles, she’s lucky her leg wasn’t cut clean off, she isn’t bleeding yet but the area looks severely burned, she manages to block the following blow and at the same time, cut off the right arm of the machine attacking her*

Cascade: … *she tries using her venom and aims where the eyes of a normal dragon should be to block the machine’s vision, it works for a few seconds and allows for a distraction as Stardust cuts off both legs, some exposed wiring sparks in the wing joints, threatening to electrocute Stardust, but she climbed onto the back and drives her energy sword through, the thick armor prevents it from reaching the main power source, but power to the right side of the body was temporarily shut down, the metal dragon’s blade cuts into the bridge and breaks it, causing both sides to fall towards their platforms, both Stardust and the metal dragon fall, they don’t even open their wings to slow the fall down. You could hear metal crash towards the bottom of the rainforest and the sound of an energy blade cutting through metal, which meant Stardust survived, but whatever attacked her didn’t, Cascade flew down to join her*

Seaweed- *follows them down to stardust* hey are you ok!?

*they’re staring at the wreck, you notice the head is cut off execution style despite the neck being detached, the wing joints were were lying against a nearby tree, the power source/battery was exposed*

Stardust: yeah, I’ll be fine… *she was back on all fours again* I hope no one else saw that.. good thinking Cascade.

Cascade: how in the world?

Stardust: yeah, remember when I said that I’m not supposed to be here? I’m supposed to be on the front fighting whoever or whatever made those. Though this model is new, there is no proper shielding for something that big however, but the joints move like a normal dragon’s would now.

Cascade: wait, I never asked if you were ok.

Stardust: that wasn’t you? *she turns around to look at you, then she looks panicked and bolts*

Cascade: what? STARDUST GET BACK HERE!

Stardust: .. ok. *she walks back, Stardust looks a little too small for a dragon to be fighting in an army*

Seaweed- Oh I'm sorry if I scared you...I was also the one who threw the spear. It looked like you needed help.

Stardust: um.. thanks I-I guess? I’m m not sure if it did anything. I didn’t even notice someone threw a spear.

Cascade: she’s a little shy around other dragons.

Stardust: oh I need to get this cleaned up.. can’t have anyone else getting to it and using it for parts of something.. *she picks up the arm joint and throws it in with the rest of the pile.. she then places something on the top that looks like it’s a small explosive, but instead of exploding, it begins dissolving everything, it already looked like there was no electricity in the power source*

Seaweed- Oh I see...well it's ok I wish I could have helped more but a dead dragon can't help much. My name is seaweed.

Stardust: nice to meet you.

*she grabs the wing joints she saved*

Seaweed- well I want to help you if you don't mind.

Stardust: personally, I-I’d rather you didn’t. That was a close call just now and I’m not sure if there are more. And I’d rather not have someone killed who was just trying to help and didn’t understand what situation I was in.

Cascade: well, you let us help you.

Stardust: … fair point.

Seaweed- so what is the situation? Cause I want to help.

Cascade: Stardust has been looking for her family for quite a while. She’s received help before but that’s drawn her into some.. dangerous situations. This is her first time being around dragons.

Seaweed- Oh ok. Well you can depend on me but just a warning I can be kind of impulsive.

Cascade: that’s fine, besides, Stardust needs to learn to be around other dragons besides my friends and I anyways.

Seaweed- ok cool. So what can I help with?

Stardust: … I’m not really sure..

Seaweed- *seems to be thinking*

Cascade: maybe you should talk for a bit, I’ll go find you a place to stay that’s out of sight.

Seaweed- ok... So your stardust...that's a very pretty name.

Stardust: uh… thanks (keep in mind she’s not the same age as the other dragons, she’s around 5 earth years old whereas the actual WoF OCs are supposed to be around the age of the dragonets of destiny).

(wait so that means the other dragons are 6 human years old?)

(Time gaps were wack so I can’t accurately judge, I thought by the Darkstalker arc, nearly a year had passed. Forget what I said then, but yes, some of the dragons are slightly older and some of the dragons are three to four years older. Apparently I can’t do math)

(Based on current lore: “bone structure suggests that you [Stardust] are 5 earth years old, but I don’t know when a dragon reaches its teenage or adult stages.” [not something I will change]. Ivy is slightly older. Based on everyone’s backgrounds, that puts the other dragons at around 6 to 8 human years old as well I guess. Also, I’m unsure when the these dragons are supposed to reach their teen or adult stages, when you disregard the whole prophecy, the dragonets of destiny seem older)

(Hard to tell time, but yeah, the other dragonets are supposed to be older in terms of their own world’s time system. Also I’m just realizing now, that should be 4, she’s supposed to spend till after the events of book 15 on the planet when Sky decides he’s finally going to pilot a space craft through the anomaly she accidentally created to get there. The other dragonets are supposed to be either slightly older than the dragonets of destiny or around the same age, towards the teenage stage of a dragon in the WoF universe)

Stardust: on this planet? Hm.. too be honest, that’s a tough one.. I’d say probably the deer, or if you’re talking about fruit, I’d say the pineapple.

Seaweed- ooh cool...what other foods are on different planets?

Stardust: still not sure.

Seaweed- huh...ok cause my favorite foods are mangoes and probably scallops.

Stardust: I have tried a mango before. Also, you do look like the type of dragon that lives underwater, so I guess fish would be your primary source of food.

Seaweed- yeah... The ocean is nice...but there is sharks which are harder to deal with than other fish.

Stardust: yeah, those exist.

Seaweed- but the ocean is nice especially when you find shiny shells and rocks under the water.

Stardust: yeah, I guess.

Seaweed- so where are you from?

Stardust: I.. uh… *she starts to get nervous*

*Cascade lands next to her*

Cascade: I couldn’t find anything, sorry, we’ll just need to come back another time.

Seaweed- huh.

Stardust: alright then.. well, it was nice to meet you.

Cascade: we’ll probably be back in the rainforest in the next few few weeks.

Seaweed- oh ok. Can I come with you guys?

Cascade: how far do you want to travel from the seawing kingdom?

Seaweed- oh I don't really care... The sea kingdom can get kinda boring sometimes so I like to explore.

Cascade: well, you’re not going to see much if you come with us, we’re just flying along the coast.

Seaweed- well... at least I can coming map of the Coast.

Cascade: I guess I could have Mirage show you the Sandwing kingdom.. he says he knows someone in mudwing territory but I don’t know if he’s willing to go there.

Seaweed- ok

Cascade: I hope you’re ok with long flights.

*Starts prepares to take off, carrying the broken wing joints*

Seaweed- yeah Im fine with any flight.

Cascade: alright, let’s go.

*Stardust lifts off first, followed by Cascade*

Seaweed- *takes off and follows them*

*Stardust is weaving in and out of trees for fun while still managing to Stay ahead of Cascade, after about an hour, you break free from the forest*

Seaweed- ooo this is pretty

*the three of you begin to fly over the mountains, the sea also begins to come into view after some time*

Seaweed- wow...this is so pretty...I've never been on the other side of the mountains yet.

Cascade: unfortunately for you, that’s not happening right now. I could ask Inferna to see if she wants to take you on a tour, but that’s literally playing with fire.

Seaweed- yeah I can see why nice joke though.

Cascade: thank you. *another 20 minutes and you’re flying along the coast*

Seaweed- *writes some things on her map*

Cascade: almost there.

*there seems to be a ledge jutting out from one of the mountains, it makes it a good view when you want to rest there, Cascade and Stardust land there*

Seaweed- oooh this is cool!

*you landed at a cave entrance*

Cascade: If Inferna’s not there, you can ask her later. This is sort of a spot to just meet up right now, we were here a lot when Darkstalker was still around.

Seaweed- ohhh ok. I heard of dark stalker but I've never seen or met him which I'm glad I haven't.

Cascade: that’s better than me, fell under his enchantment when I was spying on him. If we heard that was happening, I wouldn’t have gone near him.

Seaweed- yeah.

*Cascade walks into the cave with Stardust*

Seaweed- wait for me! *Follows close behind*

*you nearly bump into Cascade, there seems to be enough room for two dragons to walk side by side if their wings are tucked in, the tunnel leads into what looks like to be a partially sculpted out room, looks like a Nightwing was sleeping and a sandwing was falling asleep, there was no sign of a skywing, but the cave did go further in. There was also a hybrid dragon in the far corner, they were awake*

Cascade: I’ll see if Inferna’s here.

???: she won’t be coming back for a while, she left to see something in the skywing kingdom. Blizzard went with her since she was going up that way anyways.

Cascade: alright I guess that settles it.

Seaweed- oh ok. So who is who here?

*the green and orange dragon looks at you again*

???: I thought you looked like Abyss. Sorry, who are you?

Seaweed l- oh my name is seaweed it's nice to meet you

???: nice to meet you too.

*the Nightwing seemed to b muttering something in his sleep, the hybrid dragon went to check on them*

???: if you’re looking for Abyss, he left two days ago to go back to his kingdom. Something about a strange letter.

Cascade: I’m sure he’ll be back soon, though I am a little worried about him.

Seaweed- what does abyss look like cause I might be able to recognize him.

Cascade: Seawing, they’re a dark blue, got some sort of wavy pattern on their wings.

Ivy: he came from a family who lived on the outskirts of the sea kingdom.

Seaweed- I think I have seen them recently but they seemed to be in a rush.

Cascade: must be something bad then, guess I will have to check on them.

???: we can’t though..

Seaweed- hmmm?

???: it’s not like we can breathe underwater like he can.

Cascade: .. guess we’ll have to wait till Mirage wakes up.

*the sandwing spoke*

Mirage: just because I’m trying to fall asleep, doesn’t mean I am asleep *he yawned* I can ask my friend if they can.

Cascade: can we trust them??

Mirage: yep. They’ve saved me a couple times.

Cascade: they may have other motives.

Mirage: I’ve had their back as well. It would be good to see them again. It’s been a few weeks.

Seaweed- I can help as well!

Mirage: you’ll have to backtrack with me through three different kingdoms if you want to meet them. I could also have them meet you.

Stardust: can I come?

Cascade: I wouldn’t recommend that, you were just attacked Stardust.

???: wait, Stardust was attacked? By who?

Cascade: one of those machines that look like dragons but aren’t dragons showed up, there was a big fight, we’re lucky we only caused minor damage and we didn’t wake anyone up.

???: you fought it in the village?!

Stardust: had no choice. It almost knocked Cascade and I off the bridge we were standing on.

Seaweed- yeah I saw a lot of the fight...and I threw a spear at it but it didn't do anything.

???: I can’t believe that thing attacked again.

Stardust: no, it was a different one, it’s movements weren’t as stiff and it could wield a sword.

???: that’s scary.

Seaweed- yeah it looked scary.

Stardust: .. you said Abyss was in trouble?

???: I said he got some weird letter, but yeah, I’m worried about him.

Mirage: I’ll ask a friend of mine to check on him.

Stardust: can I go too?

???: not unless you can breath underwater.

Cascade: she shouldn’t go anyway, she was just attacked.

Seaweed- yeah.

Mirage: we’ll talk about it in the morning, why do you want to go to the sea kingdom anyway?

Stardust: It’s not the first time I’ve heard of an intelligent aquatic lifeform, but it’s the first time I’ve heard of an aquatic creature this large with such intelligence. *points to Seaweed*

Cascade: we get the point, you want to study seawings, maybe another time when you have Abyss to talk to them and get you out of trouble. They don’t speak underwater, they use “aquatic,” right? That’s what it’s called?

Seaweed- yeah we use aquatic especially underwater and if there is any like military work going on....also how rumors spread.

Stardust: guess I’ll need to learn.

???: you picked up dragon pretty quickly for a dragon who had never spoken it before.

Cascade: her scales don’t glow though, and I’m pretty sure aquatic heavily relies on that.

Stardust: … *some of her scales do begin to glow, but not in a typical seawing pattern* uh.. you were saying?

Cascade: you’re kidding me.

Stardust: this must be new… I swear I never knew I could do this. It’s almost like I learned I could fly in the great infinite between star systems without air or protection from the pressure.

Cascade: I’m sorry, you can what now?

???: you’re very strange.

Stardust: come on, you’ve all seen me fly in the upper atmosphere, right?

Seaweed- KOOL! But the pattern is a little off but I don't think most drawings will care.

Stardust: *she takes a moment to study herself, now with glowing scales, they flicker a little* this shouldn’t be possible..

Cascade: let’s get some rest. We’ll see if you can still do that in the morning.

*Stardust seems to be messing with them, they stop and begin glowing in random patterns, she finally gets the hang of it after a few minutes*

Seaweed- wow that's really cool though

Stardust: … yeah.

???: alright, Mirage, you have any thoughts on this?

Mirage: *startled awake when the hybrid dragon shook them* huh, what?

???: .. nevermind. Go back to sleep.

Cascade: we could all use some rest after today.
