So I'm sure yall know what a mention is, but since I know a few people will point flaws out, I've decided to think of some solutions.

To avoid harassment, there should be an option to silence mentions so you do not get notifications from them. This could cut down on mention spam. There should also be a minimum point requirement for mentioning, to prevent alts and bots from swarming users with mentions. The point requirement should be around 10-20k points.

If mentioned in a post, it should say: "(user) has mentioned you in a post"

You also shouldn't be able to get mention notifications from people you blocked

I'm surprised I didn't think about that one.

I think we should only get mention notifications from people we follow.

That could work.
