Canonically in the present the war between the stickmen and the octo-sticks has been going on for “only” 7 years. Redi finally realized that this war, although the octo-sticks we’re gonna attack first, is not worth it in fact it’s cruel. So he ends the war with “treaty of stickbrothers” which states that either side cannot attack each other anymore. It will take a while for them to settle their borders though, but they are allied now.
