small piece of lore: In my OCverse, there's a man-made virus known as Atrea Vitialus. Atrea Vitialus was created by an assassin, well-known for his speed and his techniques. He created the virus to allow him to do his job without anybody noticing. He himself got the virus on purpose, but he built himself a small thing that made it not affect him. He would bump into the people he was told to kill, which would spread the virus to them. He would apologize to them and then walk off. At first, the virus wouldn't do much. However, after a few days, the victim's heart would hurt a LOT, and it would beat a lot more slowly. Atrea Vitialus would slowly suck the life and energy out of the victim while simultaneously making them go insane, making them cut part of their own head off, revealing that Atrea Vitialus has been building itself a "heart" of its own through the use of the victim's life and energy. After the victim dies, the virus takes over the body, slowly tearing it apart and building itself until the body is completely gone. With no energy left, it slowly dies off. However, if anyone else touches it, it spreads to them.
