what happened

Earlier today my I gave my best friend a present for her sister (she's in the hospital right now because she's been eating too healthy [yes that's a thing]), And later in math my teacher said we could do multiple partners, so I asked my friends( let's call them Abby and Haven) if they wanted to be a trio for the math we had to do and Haven was just like "No." And I don't know what I did to make her say that. I wasn't mean to her whatsoever because she's my best friend so it's kind of confusing. I know it's not as bad as your situation, but I kind of felt betrayed by her.
