birch wood works when you use it right, for example if you use it for expensive homes it is quite nice, (though I do prefer spruce myself for builds, as it has a warming feel) Birch works well with light colors, since it is a light wood, for my recent build for a mining simulator, I used birch with white concrete, gray stained glass, and leaves, it really brings everything together, birch works with brighter colors, and it works well with leaves around it.
