The Puppet master had been walking in his home universe with his son because he didn't know what else to do. He was famous for his work, yes, but there wasn't anything he could research at the time and he was bored. A few minutes later and there was a report of an asteroid crashing into a building and seemingly disintegrated a tower. The Puppet master cut open the asteroid, and found a dimensional diamond. When he touched it he got visions of another timeline where Zanthor won the fight between him. There was a recurring figure in these visions, however. It seemed to want to get this timeline. So with enough concentration, the puppet master summoned it.
