Complex memes, custom templates etcetera still need a mod to approve them. Gifs are often custom or complex and likely need mod approval.

If it uses AI, it will need to check every frame instead of just one static image.

They have more strict moderation.

Probably just a coincidence. Or I think you’re just used to your images getting featured very fast (something I’ve observed).
