I know its a long one but this is the biggest comeback i have ever done in my entire life, made better by the fact that it was s | Alright boys and girls of the pokemon stream. Story time. And mods its pokemon related so dont come after me. I was doing some random battles on pokemon showdown. I happened upon a battle that, for the most part, was pretty even. That is, until around turn 38, when it was my lonely solrock vs my opponents arcanine, hawlucha, and an unrevealed pokemon. It was solrock vs hawlucha, and i had a plan. I used will-o-wisp to burn the hawlucha as it used close combat. This didn’t lower its defense because it had white herb. I the stalled a turn as it used close combat, lowering its defense this time, by using morning sun to heal. After a couple of turns of stalling, i use rock slide to take the hawlucha out. IN COMES ARCANINE. IT INTIMATES ME AND THEN USES WILL-O-WISP, CUTTING MY ATTACK. MY SUPER EFFECTIVE ROCK SLIDE ONLY DID ABOUT A FIFTH AS A RESULT. WE THEN STALLED FOR A LONG TIME, EACH USING WEAK ATTACKS, HIM EXTREME SPEED AND FLARE BLITZ, AND THEN HEALING IF WE EVER GOT LOW. THIS WAS MADE LONGER BY ME MISSING A ROCK SLIDE AND EVEN MISCLICKING AND USING STEALTH ROCKS AT ONE POINT. EVENTUALLY, I GOT IT TO A POINT WHERE HE WAS IN RED HP, AND I WAS IN YELLOW. I FIGURE HE WOULD HEAL WITH MORNING SUN, SO I DO THE SAME. INSTEAD, HE USES FLARE BLITZ, TAKING HIMSELF OUT, AS I HEAL TO ALMOST FULL WITH MORNING SUN. I AM NOW IN A PICKLE. I HAVE FOUR ROCK SLIDES LEFT, AND NO MORE MORNING SUNS. HE SENDS OUT HIS LAST POKEMON, A RAYQUAZA. I GO FOR WILL-O-WISP AS HE USES SWORDS DANCE. I AM CERTAIN IM GOING TO LOSE, BECAUSE RAYQUAZA CAN HAVE EARTHQUAKE. YES, I KNOW SOLROCK HAS LEVITATE, BUT IN THE MOMENT I WAS PANICKING AND HAD A BRAIN FART. WITH IT BEING THE ONLY THING I CAN DO, I USE ROCK SLIDE. HOWEVER, HE USES DRAGON ACCENT, WHICH IS FLYING TYPE CLOSE COMBAT. BECAUSE IT LOWERED HIS DEFENSE, I HAD A CHANCE. MY ROCK THROW DID GOOD DAMAGE, AND AFTER A FEW TURNS OF HIM USING DRAGON ACCENT, I MANAGE TO TAKE HIM OUT WITH LITERALLY ZERO ROCK SLIDES LEFT. I DID THE CALCS AND IF I HAD MISSED A SINGLE ROCK SLIDE OR IF HE HAD GOTTEN ANY CRITS, I WOULD HAVE LOST. MORAL OF THE STORY, NEVER FORFEIT.
