If you go into your notifications there are multiple setting you can use to go through them. Click on the “unread” option, and you should be able to read those 8 notifications. Tell me if that doesn’t work.

Hover over your username in the top right corner, then select Notifications from the dropdown menu. You should be able to see all your notifications. If there are still some left then click Show More
