DAY 17: IS YOUR CHURCH PRACTICING HINDUISM? [1 of 2] When I was first saved out of the New Age movement, I went directly into Bible college and what I considered to be the Christian “Church world.” Of course, being new to Christianity, I found it easy to join fringe groups and not recognize them as such. I started attending different Church services and reading the Bible. At one point I ended up at a livelier congregation, and upon familiarizing myself with what they were doing, skeptical questions began entering my mind about their supposedly Christian faith practices. Those thoughts went something like: “Wait a second, are you saying that enough faith will allow me to determine my own reality, magically being able to receive a new car, a house, or whatever I want?” The congregation turned out to be involved with the “Word of Faith” movement, which might as well be called “New Age,” and both are just forms of old-fashioned Hinduism.
