That's not even the half of it.
For Christians they make a big deal about baptism, but years later nobody remembers the day you got saved, nobody wishes you a happy birthday on the day you accepted christ into your life. You wake up, go to work, nobody texts you, and people that aren't believers aren't gonna understand. You tell someone you got saved yesterday. Really cool. But I got saved 10 years ago? SO WHAT! There's a lack of discipleship after you get saved. They work real hard to get you saved and baptized but after that you fall through the cracks. Of course people are still excited to see you, but there isn't 1 on 1 discipleship anymore. You start swimming with fellow believers but then you're just in another group all going upstream til the bittersweet sting of death calls us home. It's not the same as a small group in a tight bond. You become a number, another name if people even remember your name. They recognize your face and they're honest about forgetting, but I'm at the point in life where I'm not a teen and I'm not married. There isn't a whole lot of groups for single guys going on 30.
